Arequipa

Carmen Alto.- Between Cayma and Yanahuara is Carmen Alto, humble and quiet village, but surrounded by a beautiful scenery. From here you can see at a distance the White City and the surrounding green countryside.
Yanahuara.- Yanahuara (quechua word, that means "black pants"). In the main square stands the stunning district of the parish church structure. Adjacent to the church is "Mirador", modern dance arches invites to watch the spectacle of the city, its countryside and its volcanoes notable verses inspired mayors toting bows. Several streets surrounding the square known for its charm, as the Alley of the Haunted House, named for a house full of mysteries beyond the grave, and below, between Calles Misti and Angamos Alley Toledo, watercolorists delight and photographers.
Cathedral City of Arequipa.- It is considered as one of the early seventeenth century religious centers in the city. It is built in ashlar (volcanic stone) with brick vaults.
Plaza de Armas of Arequipa.- City Center, surrounded by the Cathedral and various portals, the Plaza de Armas has a beautiful bronze fountain in the upper figure of a soldier of XVI century.
Monastery of Santa Catalina.- Built to house the daughters of the most distinguished families of the city, the monastery was inaugurated on October 2, 1580 under the patronage of Saint Catherine of Siena as a center of absolute and remained so until on August 15, 1970.
Church of the Jesuits.- Artwork Architecture, is a complex of buildings built by the Jesuit order for religious and housing. Made primarily of ashlar stone, inside the church is a chapel slxtlna that architectural roof dome is painted the artwork for Arequipa, showing the word of God in the four evangelists.
Cloisters of the Jesuit.- Were completed in 1738, the date shown on the entrance arch. And was the residence of the Jesuit College, recently restored, its rooms are occupied by a lot of establishments related to tourism, such as restaurants, craft shops, etc.
