Roundtrip Bus: Cloud Forest - Otorongo - Salvador - Boca Manu - Cusco.

Not included: First breakfast and Mineral Water. / Entrance the Manu National Park. / Soda and alcoholic drinks.

We leave Cusco early in the morning in our comfortable bus. We ascend to the heights of Paucartambo. On the way we visit the funeral towers or Chullpas Ninamarca. Then we descend through the mysterious cloud forest full of beautiful orchids, heliconias and primitive ferns, taking breaks to give the opportunity to witness the bird 'Cock of the Rock" (rupicola peruvian) in the mating ritual. There are also possibilities to observe trogons (Trogon sp.) and more. If we get luck we'll see the only South American bear, the spectacled bear (Tremarctos ornatus). In the afternoon we'll arrive at the port of Atalaya where we board the boat -30 minutes- until Paititi Lodge where we stay in our typical hostel bathrooms and showers.

After a delicious breakfast, the group continues its journey by boat to navigate the Alto Madre de Dios River. On the way we see a variety of birds such as herons, kingfishers and the spectacular condor of the jungle, king of the vultures (Scarcoramphus potato) and Jaguar (Panthera onca). At noon we will stop in the village of Boca Manu to rest and then continue our journey through the stunning Río Madre de Dios to the camp that is very close to the impressive clay lick. Will walk to explore various trails around the camp and spend the night. Overnight in camp roofed platforms. Bathrooms and showers available.

After taking a delicious breakfast we headed to the hideout in front of the Macaws Collpa. The guide explains the reason for the presence of parrots and macaws here. Gradually, dozens of parrots begin to go down to the clay lick - often have seen hundreds of them, then come the most colorful macaws (Ara sp.). After this wonderful show return to Boca Manu, we walk to explore various trails around the lodge where we spend the night. Hostel with showers and bathrooms. Optional joining plane.

The trip continues and you begin to realize why Manu is so famous precisely for its wildlife: riverside groups of turtles, White Caimans (Caiman cocodrylus), some capybaras (Hydrochaeris) and many are observed species. In the afternoon we arrive at our camp located in Cocha Otorongo. Shortly after we organize a walk to visit the lake and the observation tower from where we see the otters. Here in Manu the animals have never suffered persecution of hunting by men. Overnight in camp SAFARI (beds). Showers and toilets available.

This day the group visits Cocha Salvador, which is 30 minutes from the Cocha Otorongo, to paddling silently on a catamaran that gives us the possibility to observe, again, the otters and a variety of rare birds such as sultana cock (Porphyrula martinique) or agami heron (agami heron). Later, we walked with the guide for the main trail to learn the operation and the secrets of the rainforest. In the afternoon we return to our camp at Cocha Otorongo. Overnight in camp SAFARI (beds). Showers and toilets available. Optional night walk.

This day we'll awake with the howling of the "Cotomonos". We must begin our return to Boca Manu (optional return by plane). The rest of the group stays in Boca Manu. Overnight in lodge. Showers and toilets available. Optional night walk around the lodge.

We continue to return by boat to the lodge. On the way we will see more birds native to the area. Overnight in lodge. Showers and toilets available.

This day we will leave our wonderful and mysterious jungle to return by boat to Atalaya. Then we began our journey back to Cusco. On the way we will observe the variety of flora and fauna.
