Upon arrival at the airport you will be greeted by our contributors and we will go to our offices in Puerto Maldonado to about 10 minutes away, while you enjoy a first contact with the jungle. Then we will move from the office in Puerto Maldonado to Puerto Tambopata, skirting a distance of 20 km to reach the port of embarkation. This port is located in the Native Community of Infierno. After lunch we will go from Tambopata Port to Posada Amazonas, this boat ride will take 45 minutes to the Private Reserve of the Native Community of Infierno.
Canopy Tower
It is located approximately 20 minutes from Posada Amazonas, is a tower made of scaffolding and has a height of 30 meters. You can climb the tower easily and safety, using the stairs that has handrails on both sides. There are small platforms every 2 meters where you can rest. We also have a spectacular view of the Tambopata River and the treetops, you can also watch the birds that inhabit this point as parrots, macaws and toucans.

Presentation on Ecotourism
After dinner you may attend Posada Amazonas to a presentation made by a staff member about the ecotourism project between Rainforest Expeditions and the Native Community of Infierno. Overnight at Posada Amazonas.

After breakfast we start our visit to the Tres Chimbadas lake, 30 minutes away by boat and 45 minutes with a walking we reach the shores of Lake Tres Chimbadas. From the shores of the lake we board a catamaran and a native rower will take us around the lake to see wildlife in its peak. We will have the opportunity to search for caiman, riparian birds, the peculiar shanshos, and hopefully you can see the family of giant river otters that are viewed by 60% of our visitors, who are well known as the largest freshwater otters of the world.
Ethnobotanical Tour
In a boat we will go from downstream, 20 minutes away to Ñape Center. This center is a communal organization that uses as a basis a number of native plants to produce medicines. These plants grow in the ethnobotanical center and administers it to the people that come up there to heal. In a system of roads are presented plants used for medicinal purposes as well as for other purposes such as construction or transportation.
Night Walk
We will have the opportunity to walk at night, since at this time the mammals leave their hiding places to do its activities but is very rarely seen. Along the way there are many frogs that have shapes and sounds as unique as their natural histories. Overnight at Posada Amazonas.

It is located about 20 minutes from the hostel. You can see from one hiding place to a distance of approximately 20 meters as dozens of parrots and parakeets descend on most clear mornings to ingest clay lick. The collpa is visited early in the morning, late morning or afternoon, depending on when is observing increased activity.
Hike to the Ceiba
We will make a 2-hour hike that will be crowned by the largest tree of the the zone: a giant ceiba. During this hike we will focus on the natural history of the jungle and its principal taxonomic groups.
Farm Visit
After lunch, we will go from 30 minutes away boating downriver to the most diverse farm in the community of Infierno. The owner sows a variety of popular and unknown crops, each plant and tree serves a purpose. Overnight at Posada Amazonas.

After breakfast we will travel on a boat from Posada Amazonas to Tambopata River Port, then we will go from the Tambopata River Port to the office in Puerto Maldonado. In the office we will stop briefly and head to the airport. Depending on the departure time of the flights may be needed an early dawn departure.
