Upon arrival at the airport in Puerto Maldonado will be received by our staff. We will give you an explanation on the tour. Then transfer to the port where you will board a motor boat to go to Wasaí Tambopata Lodge. For its location-border Tambopata National Reserve with Bahuaja Sonene National Park, the Tambopata Research Center is a comfortable hostel.
There we see the largest macaw collpa in the world, a few minutes away. On our tour we will see different species of birds and mammals: capybaras, caimans, turtles and orioles.
Being already in the Wasaí Tambopata Lodge, the staff will welcome you with a delicious juice from the region and accommodated you in your bungalow. In this short break, the guide will give some lessons for a comfortable stay in the jungle. We will do night hikes to see some of the insects species that live in the Amazon. In the morning we started the adventure. We will hike 30 minutes to visit the Parrot Collpa in Gato River. This visit will allow us to see various species of parrots, macaws and exotic birds and animals that inhabit Tambopata National Reserve.
We will visit the Gato River waterfall and return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast. After resting, we will make a rowing canoe ride up the Tambopata River. We may also opt for personal or two-person kayaks, which requires no physical effort and can be done by people of all ages. Enjoy beautiful natural scenery of the jungle.
Lunch. In the afternoon we will hike ethnobotany to marsh area. There is localized "Aventura Amazonas". During the walk we will see giant trees, enjoy the biodiversity that offers the Amazon jungle of flora and fauna.
Our adventure down the Amazon, will allowed us to fish on the banks of the swamp, crossing suspended bridges or walkways between foliage or simply relaxing enjoying a natural jungle environment of great beauty. Overnight camping on an island in the swamp area, bonfire and dinner dishes.
We will visit the Venado Gorge, There we will see wildlife due to the proximity of a Mammals collpa. We return to camp for fishing and having breakfast. Returning to the lodge, almost mid-morning, we will have a talk about tree climbing techniques by one of our specialists.
Lunch. If you prefer we can go up to a platform in the top of a tree. From there you can see many birds and breathtaking scenery of the Peruvian jungle. At night we will embark on a new adventure in search of alligators along the banks of the Tambopata River. Dinner. Overnight in Wasaí Tambopata Lodge
