Ecojungle: Monkeys Island

Arrive at the Capital of Biodiversity of Peru. Puerto Maldonado. Reception at the airport. Our tour begins with a city tour. Then we go to the Port Authority, to embark on boat on the Madre de Dios River. During the trip we will dive in a natural environment where we will observe the capybara, caimans, turtles, herons, cormorants and other animal species.
Arrival to Ecoamazonía Lodge, an exquisite welcome drink, settle into our bungalows and have lunch.
By the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, visit the first and only place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River: Monkeys Island, 5 minutes away from the lodge. During the walk we will observe extraordinary scenery and exuberant flora that are the home to a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as maquisapas, capuchins, lion monkeys, frailecillos, cotos, and other species like the coati, sloths, among others, and a variety of birds. We end our visit of the island while enjoying the sunset, being the most amazing sunset in the jungle. Then return to the lodge to end the day with a pleasant dinner.
