Arrive at the Capital of Biodiversity of Peru. Puerto Maldonado. Reception at the airport. Our tour begins with a bus city tour. Then we go to the Port Authority, to embark on boat on the Madre de Dios River. During the trip we will dive in a natural environment where we will observe the capybara, caimans, turtles, herons, cormorants and other animal species.
Arrival to Ecoamazonía Lodge, an exquisite welcome drink, settle into our bungalows and have lunch.
By the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, visit the first and only place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River: Monkeys Island, 5 minutes away from the lodge. During the walk we will observe extraordinary scenery and exuberant flora that are the home to a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as maquisapas, capuchins, lion monkeys, frailecillos, cotos, and other species like the coati, sloths, among others, and a variety of birds. We end our visit of the island while enjoying the sunset, being the most amazing sunset in the jungle. Then return to the lodge to end the day with a pleasant dinners.
After breakfast, we begin an adventure through the virgin jungle, accompanied by a local guide, we will hike internment to get to the Lost Lake, which is a refuge and feeding ecosystem for a tremendous diversity of animals. There is the opportunity to observe otters, caimans, turtles, tapirs, birds of every color, the majestic jaguar and a variety of fish. This area is unique and belongs to the Eco-Amazon lodge, having remained intact, with large marshes and natural springs. Then get to the extraordinary vantage point, from which we may observe the magical jungle, followed by a pleasant canoe ride around the lake. Return to the lodge. Lunch. In the afternoon we offer an optional visit to the botanical garden. If you wished to relax enjoy the Amazonian Pool. Return and dinner.
After breakfast, travel down the Madre de Dios river for about two hours, on its banks is possible to observe a variety of flora and fauna and gold seekers.
Later we visit the nearest indigenous community located in PALMA REAL. This community is an ethnic group of semi-civilized, but they still largely preserved their customs, myths and their ritualistic behavior.
This Huarayos native human settlement is nurtured a space with secrets, wisdom and a harmonious interaction between man and the jungle, as part of a whole called world.
We will contact with the guide, who will tell us about their way of life, their time marked by the sun, the moon, the water; where man, plants, animals, rivers are integrated in a compact world so everything has a message.
In the end we can acquire craftwork made by them, and if possible participate in their songs, and traditional dancing. Lunch. Aboard. Later we pass the Royal Palm creek, beautiful scenery, attractive natural charm. Then return to the lodge. Dinner.
