Mysteries of Peru

Reception and welcoming at Lima's Jorge Chavez airport. Pick up and transfer to selected hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Breakfast at the hotel and morning off. In the afternoon pick up from hotel to start our tour of the beautiful city of Lima.
Colonial Lima: We will do a guided tour of the Historic Center of Lima. Appreciate its main attractions: the Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, the Cathedral, Archbishop's Palace, Municipal Palace and old streets with colonial mansions, balconies and small squares.
Contemporary Lima: The tour continues to the modern and attractive areas such as San Isidro Lima, Miraflores and Larco Mar. We will visit the 'Park of Love' and appreciate a beautiful panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Transfer to hotel.

Pick up from hotel and transfer to the bus station. Travel by tourist service bus to Paracas. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to hotel.

Early morning pick up from hotel and transfer to the port. Excursion on a comfortable boat to the Ballestas Islands. During the trip you will see 'El Candelabro', geoglyph famous for its large size. The design on the sand allows to distinguish a relation with Nasca and Pampas de Jumanaand lines and geoglyphs. Its origin is still a mystery.

The Ballestas Islands are a group of small islands which houses an important marine wildlife such as guano birds, guanay, piquero and zarcillo and hundreds of sea lions, dolphins and Humboldt penguins. They are in shelter of this fabulous nature that will be an unique experience for us. At the end of the tour, transfer to the bus station to take our bus to Nazca city. Arrival in Nazca and transfer to hotel.

At the indicated time, departure to the local aerodrome to board the plane to the mysterious 'Nazca Lines', We will fly over the mysterious 'Nazca Lines', composed of several hundreds of figures ranging from designs as simple as lines to complex zoomorphic figures, geometric and phytomorphic that appear drawn on the surface, which can only be observed from the air. These giant figures representing animals and geometric forms were engraved in areas of the desert by the people of the Nazca culture for more than 1,500 years. This pre Inca imaginary construction is still a great mystery. At the indicated time we will take you to the station to take a comfortable bus to Arequipa. The trip is about 8 hours.

Arrival in Arequipa, pick up and transfer to selected hotel. In the afternoon visit to the 'White City'. Here we can see architectural wonders like Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the beautiful Monastery of Santa Catalina of Siena, religious tourist complex from XVI century, the Dome and cloisters of the Society of Jesus. We will certainly visit the countryside of Arequipa, in this tour will appreciate the districts of Cayma and Yanahuara. Overnight in Arequipa.

Excursion to the Colca Valley. We will pass by the Aguada Blanca National Reserve and Cañahuas pampa where we will see many species of birds in their natural habitat as well as native peruvian animals: Llama, Alpaca and Vicuña. Patahuasi stop, where we enjoy a cup of coca tea. We continue our journey watching the pre-Inca agricultural terraces. Arriving at the Chivay village, enjoy a delicious lunch. Arrival to Chivay, accommodation at the hotel. In the evening enjoy dinner at the hotel. Accommodation at the Colca.

Early morning breakfast at the hotel and then head to the Viewpoint of Cruz del Condor, a wonderful natural station located at 3287 meters., from where we will admire the majestic flight of condor and have a spectacular view of the canyon as well as the brave flow of the river of the same name in the depths of the world's highest canyon. On the way back we will observe archaeological remains, pre-inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon. We will visit the Pinchollo villages, the only pre Inca village still inhabited and the town of Maca where we will see their churches, craft markets, their traditional dress.
Lunch in Chivay. We will continue our journey to Arequipa, where you will arrive at the end of the afternoon. Transfer to hotel. Accommodation.

Transfer from hotel to airport to board the flight to the imperial Cusco city. Pick up from airport and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon will tour the imposing city of Cusco and the main archaeological sites.
Visit the historic Plaza de Armas. Attend to the Cathedral, built on the remains of Quishuarcancha- that it is believed, was the room of the Inca Viracocha. During the empire was dominated by a huge stone covered with sheets of gold in which sacrifices were carried out and all kinds of military and religious ceremonies.

The cathedral is adorned by impressive 400 colonial paintings and religious images belonging to the 'Escuela Cusqueña'. Will know the enigmatic legend of the bell "Maria Angola" which, from the top of one of the towers of the Cathedral makes hear the echo of his mighty clang in 40 miles around. After this breathtaking tour will arrive at Qoricancha one of the most famous temples in America.

In another area of the route, we will visit Sacsayhuaman, the cyclopean fortress that amazes the world. Those are gigantic stones-some of which weigh up to 20 tons, which overlap each other in a union so strong and perfect that remains as a mystery to contemporary engineering. It is inexplicable how the builders could make the joints between the stone were so perfect that between them can not even be a piece of paper. Admire the Temple of Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, where we will see the 'Inca baths'. After our tour of the city, you will be transferred to your Hotel. Overnight in Cusco. 

Excursion to the Sacred Valley of Incas. Our first destination is the village of Pisac, beautiful place that has peace and quiet, characteristics of the country. Visit the colorful market known for its craft fairs. Continue to Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant. 
Finally visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to the Valley of the Incas. Accommodation in Cusco or the Sacred Valley.

Pick up from hotel and transfer to the train station. We will travel by train to Aguas Calientes. Board the bus to take us to the top of the mountain where is located the impressive citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the modern world. We will participate in an unforgettable experience. We will visit the citadel with a professional guide. On the way we will appreciate the awesome work done by Incas. After the wonderful tour, we will have a buffet lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon return to Cusco to rest. Overnight in Cusco. 

At the indicated time pick up from hotel and transfer to airport.
