We will pick you up early in the morning, to head by road to the Community of Qeros considered as the last inca ayllu.
We will travel by car, to Saylla, Huasao Huaro, Urcos Ocongate to Coline, here the route by car will end to begin our journey to the mystery village of the Qeros, location of Cheqtak'ucho. Here the carriers team will expect us to carry all your luggage and equipment needed in llamas, that are used for everyday travel. The journey to Qeros Nation, will last approximately 6 hours walking and riding horses in the route.
We will enjoy beautiful landscapes, typical houses of the andes, natural lakes, etc. We ascend up to 4,760 masl, where we can walk by the snow and enjoy a great experience in the heights of the Andes.
After our early morning breakfast and the presentation of our local guide, resident of Hatun Qeros, we will prepare the equipment with our support staff and will begin our trek going to Wallatapampa. The ascent will be gradual by the river bank, watching small villages with houses made of stone, thatched roofs and families of peasants works in the land.
Descend to Kikok'ucho for having lunch. We will ascend to the second pass through solitary and cloudy landscapes reaching our second campsite at 5:00 pm approx.
After breakfast we will begin our trek, watching young shepherds and herds of llamas and alpacas. We will descend 12 km to reach the nation of Hatun Qeros 2900 masl, will arrive about half day.
At first sight it is a strange and inhospitable place surrounded by breathtaking countryside between the puna and the valley. Rest and welcome lunch in a peasant house. Guided visit to explore and know the place.
At night after dinner we will participate in a "despacho" ceremony to the mother earth, where the Andean Priest of the community offers to give thanks for the good year, blessings. This ritual is performed as an inheritance from their ancestors, the Incas, and keeps curretly until now.
After our breakfast prepared by our hosts, we will share with them, one day of their daily activities such as grazing, working together in the chakra - land -, observation and participation in weaving ponchos, blankets, chullos, etc., and the explanation of its iconography, we will also can participate in their dances.
Lunch with the community. In the afternoon, we will return to Kikok'ucho.
After breakfast we will prepare to return to Cheqtak'ucho. Lunch and return to Cusco city. Approximate arrival time 7:00 p.m. Transfer to hotel.
