Pick up from your hotel to start our trip to Cachora, 4 hours approximately by road, once there, we will start our journey with our horsemen and horses, the trail is flat until reaching Capuliyoc where we will see the immense Apurimac canyon, then we will descend to Chuquisaca approximately 3 hours, When we will arrive to the Apurimac Canyon, we will feel that the temperature change that emerges from the canyon.
We will camp on the banks of the Apurimac River considered the main affluent of the Amazon River.
Breakfast early in the morning, to begin to go down about 30 minutes to get the Rosalina Beach, where we find a very pleasant climate, after that we will start our trek to the uphill mountain, through a long and narrow trail, arriving to Choquequirao around 4 pm approximately.
We will visit the archaeological site with our guide. It should be noted that the view of the canyon is spectacular and will definitely be possible to see andean condors soaring in the mountains. Camp at 3,370 masl.
This day we will start ascending to 3,300 masl -10,890 feet-, then we will descend to Blanco River -1900 masl - 6,270 feet. In the way we will pass by the archaeological site of Pinchiunuyoj, there we will observe different species of birds, orchids and coca plantations etc. -2,750 masl 9,075 feet-
In Blanco River, we will have lunch to begin ascending to Maizal -3000 masl 9,900 ft- 3 hours walk approximately. Campsite.
After breakfast, we will start our trek back uphill passing by the impressive inca mines called Minas Victoria. Almost at the top, we will find a beautiful inca stone path. We will pass above 4,150 masl 13,695 feet- Finally we will descend to the camp at Yamana, high andean community -3,800 m. 12,540 feet- Campsite.
Early in the morning, we will start the trek ascending slowly to the highest pass in all our trip -4,670 masl 15,410 feet- Once again we will have a spectacular view of the snow capped of Sacsarayoj and Padreyoj. After a brief rest in the mountain, will begin our descent to the valley of Totora, where we will camp at - 3,630 masl 11,979 feet- near the community of Totora.
After breakfast with a pleasant climate, we will descent to the Santa Teresa river which comes from Salkantay and then continue down to the narrow valley, that will take us to the beach where we will rest and having lunch, after that we will take the shuttle to Santa Teresa, where we will enjoy the hot springs.
We will start the day, trekking for 3 hours, until the last pass -2,810 masl 9,273 feet- From this point, we will have a spectacular view of Machu Picchu. After a good rest, we will go down to the Hydroelectric plant on the Urubamba River, from there, depending on the weather, will walk / take the train to Aguas Calientes. Accommodation at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will take the bus up to Machu Picchu, there, we will have a guided tour around the archeological site, we will also have free time to explore Machu Picchu by our own. Optional: ascent to Wayna Picchu.
In the afternoon, 4 pm approx. we will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Cusco, arriving in Cusco at approximately 8pm
