We leave Cusco early in the morning and head to the Sacred Valley, reaching the hot springs of Lares where we spend the morning swimming in that place, after lunch we will walk two hours to reach the place where we will camp.
We will continue ascending through the valley to reach the community, Huacawasi here people produce fine textiles. We will observe their great skills and brilliant techniques for making ponchos and other garments. Passing the village we begin to ascend to the Condorpasa Abra, the second being at 4100m of the journey. From this place we will have an amazing view of the snow Veronica 5750m. We will descend, for about 1 hour until reaching the beautiful lagoon Epsaicocha, where will set our last camp.
After breakfast, we will descend through the valley to reach Willoc community where we will have lunch, from here we will walk for 2 hours more, to reach Pumamarka community where we will appreciate Inca terraces, many local wildlife, finally arrive at Ollantaytambo located in a fertile valley and protected by huge mountains.
This is a perfect place to appreciate most archaeological remains left by our ancestors and a variety of flowers and birds. We head to Ollantaytambo station where we board the train to take us to Aguas Calientes. Accommodation at the hotel.
Very early after breakfast, we will take the bus to Machu Picchu, after checking into the inca citadel, we will have a guided tour of 3 hours approx. At the end of the afternoon, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, and then have free time to explore the town before returning to Cusco City.
