The secure way to climb 300 meters of rock.
The Via Ferrata is a kind of way to scale a mountain with a safety system permanently installed, provides an opportunity for people without any experience in climbing ,using minimal equipment, move through spectacular mountain scenery .
The climber is subject, all time, to a steel cable (life line) along the entire route, through a double-hook system (set via ferrata).
Employing Metal ladders, suspension bridges and similar facilities are used for ascent. The descent is by a rappel of 100 mts. and a mixture of via ferrata and hiking.
The route can be made by any person in good health and that can handle the height of the stairs. The minimum age for Sacred Valley's via ferrata is 7 years old.
A standard climbing harness, helmet, gloves and a double system with a sink strenght specially designed for climbing via ferrata (System via ferrata) will be provided by Natura Vive. All climbers, without exception, must always be accompanied by a guide.
We reserve the right of admission to determine whether people are suitable for via ferrata.
WHAT TO BRING
Wear light clothes and resistant shoes (Tennis, lightweight hiking boots, etc. No sandals). Note that, as you climb will be cold & windy so it is important to take extra clothes in a small backpack. Important : Bring 1 liter of water minimum.
DURATION
Arrival, handing equipment and safety briefing will taje 30 minutes. The rise and descent of the via ferrata may last between 3 and 4 hours according to the rhythm of the group.
INCLUDES
Private transport : go and return from Cusco or the Sacred Valley. Guides, equipment (harness, helmet, set via ferrata and gloves) and a delicious snack to enjoy on top of the wall, enjoying the best view of the Sacred Valley.
