Ica: Huacachina Lagoon

Paracas is a port city on the southern coast of Peru, capital of the district in the province of Pisco, in the department of Ica.

The Huacachina Lagoon is an oasis located five kilometers to the west of Ica city, in Peru. It is presented as a natural true oasis in the midst of desert's white sands. From emerald green waters, arose due to the upwelling of undercurrents around it has appeared an abundant vegetation composed of palms, eucalyptus and typical huarangos, used by the migratory birds that pass through this region, to rest. All this contributes making Huacachina one of the most colorful and beautiful places in the Peruvian coast.
